Have A Heart Necklaces

Big Heart Rescue extends our heart-felt thanks to Lorna Potts, Gabriola Island artist.   Lorna has generously given her time and her talent to create these amazing necklaces for us to use for fundraising, all because of her desire to see animals in desperate need of care receive the help they so deserve.

The Hearts have been hand crafted, set into individually designed glass pieces and then kiln fired into beautiful art necklaces.   Every piece is unique yet every piece so lovingly represents the innocent ‘hearts’ of those souls that are taken into our care for another chance at life.

If you would like to open your 'heart'  and help provide a 'soft place to land' for those in need you can purchase one of these original art necklaces at Big Heart Rescue fundraising events for $20.

Oweekeno Newsletter
January 2010

A big thank you to Big Heart Rescue for sending in many bags of dog food, some dog treats and dog toys, leashes and collars on December 14, 2009 for distribution to dog owners in our community.   And, thank you to teachers, Kevin and Mona Gianakos, for receiving, and distributing the items.

Also, just a reminder that donations for dog food are being accepted at the Oweekeno Elementary School for Big Heart Rescue.
