In September of 2009, Big Heart Rescue held its largest ever in-field veterinary treatment clinic in the remote community of Bella Coola, BC, in partnership with the Nuxalk Nation. Over a period of two days the volunteers, veterinarians and technicians saw over 240 animals and educated a similar number of community members about animal care and ownership.
