Kinszee Clothing Boutique

No amount of rain could dampen the enthusiasm of Big Heart volunteers at Kinszee's Boutique in Coquitlam on February 10-11, 2007. Thanks to the generosity of Laurie, the owner, 100% of the weekend's sales were donated to help animals in need - half went to Big Heart Rescue & half to Animal Advocates Society. Both groups set up tables with brochures and sale items. Big Heart volunteers sold donated items, including a dog bed wrapped around lots of dog goodies and used for our raffle, homemade cookies and handcrafted Valentine cards to raise an additional $250. Best of all, the volunteers encouraged everyone to stop and learn about Big Heart Rescue. Our darling little Cara was everyone's special Valentine! Thanks to Laurie for hosting the event and providing the volunteers (Cricket, Vanessa, Wendi, Erica & Karen) with lunch and goodies. Also thanks to Urban Barkery for serving Sunday brunch to our four doggie volunteers (Cara, Alta, Luan, Cedric and Cory). |
