Jim Brewin

With great sadness
and a heavy heart...

Jim Brewin, retired RCMP officer, friend to BHR, animal Angel of Klemtu and a very dear friend passed suddenly on Thursday. No one can believe that a man so sweet, so kind has left this earth and moved onto a new journey. Jim connected with BHR many many years ago when the cries of companions could be heard in Klemtu and he needed to find help for them. This began a long friendship that was built on the love for the innocent lives that crossed his path.

Darling Kaenin, Hayden and Bruin (named after Jim) are just a few of the souls Jim found and sent into the arms of BHR. Jim networked with his partners in Bella Bella to ensure that if a companion was too large for the float plane that the RCMP in Bella Bella would watch carefully over them until PCA could send these saved souls down to us, to be kept forever safe. While they waited to begin a new life he fed them, watered them, took them into his home and cared for them as if they were his own, until he knew that they would begin again under the wings of a society he adored.

Dearest Jim, dearest friend you are truly missed by those who can no longer touch you yet all those who see you now are blessed to have a true animal Angel in their presence.

Thank you for all your years of advocacy on behalf of those who had you as their saviour.
