Pearl is doing wonderfully. She’s a real character and we are just starting to see how funny she really is. Her new joy in the world is squeaky toys. My dogs ignore them so I bought one hoping Pearl would like it….and she did!!! She gets very excited and will somewhat retrieve them. I say somewhat because she likes to chase after them and then run away with her prize. She likes it if you chase her around and when you aren’t looking, she’ll dig a hole and try to hide her toy.
Pearl also has a new friend called Sassy. Sassy is a 1.5 year old Standard
Poodle, very puppy-like and bouncy,
and Pearl really enjoys her company.
When
out for hikes in the wilderness with 4 dogs, Sassy is the one that will watch
over Pearl and make sure she doesn’t get lost. She will run back and forth
between the people and Pearl. Pearl likes to stop, sniff, and observe things
and sometimes follows behind the pack (we have told Sassy not to worry because
we are watching Pearl but it doesn’t help). Pearl really loves hiking,
swimming, exploring, her squeaky toys, and her friends. She is a true treasure
