Beau !

Beau is a gentle, laid-back Labrador-type dog. Approximately seven to eight  years of age, he is neutered, up to date with shots, house trained and LOVES the water as most lab's do!

Beau is very loving of everyone and everything and does not have a mean or aggressive bone in his body. He is low-energy and is happiest on a walk where he can amble along and sniff everything extensively.

He does love his food and would eat you out of house and home if you let him! We're trying to get him to lose a few pounds although two different vets have said that he's not really over-weight, it's his skin that is thickened from previous skin infections.

Beau has challenges with his ears and does need them to be looked after with in-home cleaning, and his diet must be watched.  He is currently eating Evo kibble which is a high protein/no grain diet and he may do very well on raw, should his new adoptive family already feed this to their current companions.

The big boy is a sweet fellow and children, cats, dogs, chickens, rabbits etc. can all live comfortably around him, though his loud snoring may wake them up!

Update: August 7th
From Beau’s foster family

Beau is improving every day and is a totally different dog then when he came back into our care.

His horrendously infected ears are almost cleared up after 2 months of intense daily treatment and a 100% clean RAW food diet.  This sweet boy is finally knowing what it feels like to be completely pain free.

Beau has now lost a total of 15 pounds & is gaining some much needed muscle tone.  He has a bit more to lose but it will come off easily with the long walks, hiking & swimming he is now enjoying with all his furry friends.

We never thought he’d ever be the dog he is today and it’s heartwarming to see him finally enjoying life to the fullest.
