Bruin !

Wee little Bruin, a 25 pound, neutered five year old male was found by an RCMP officer in Klemtu, BC.  Bruin was in horrific conditions with mats so large he could barely walk or stand, covered in feces and starving for both food and love.

The RCMP officer arranged for transport and vet care with the Bella Bella RCMP and the Pacific Raincoast team and then Bruin was flown into the loving arms of Big Heart Rescue.

This darling little boy has now been shaved to remove all his mats, his dental has been done and a large wound on his leg has been stitched.  It was discovered that he does have a heart murmur, so senior anaesthetic was used for his surgery and we are still unsure of his ability to hear at a normal level.

With all he has been through in his short time on earth, Bruin is yet another loving soul who has survived when all odds were against him.  He is currently living in his adoring Vancouver foster home with other dogs, is house trained and is understanding that love can help to heal both his physical and emotional wounds.

He is a gentle soul now looking for his new family who will honour his life, who will keep him safe and will understand that compassion and love are his primary needs.

If you are interested in adopting Bruin, please send an e-mail to spiritsmission@shaw.ca  and you will be sent an adoption application.

*Note:  Due to Bruin's previous history of neglect, someone home the majority of the day who has a calm and loving household is mandatory.

Update: June 2

Another first for Big Heart Rescue!  Lida and Dave who have previously adopted Bugsy and Cleo from Big Heart Rescue are now the proud new parents of Bruin!

We could not have hoped for a better match for this darling boy and we are thrilled to know that he will be loved by this amazing family.

Congratulations to you all and we know that life is forever filled with sunshine and happiness for Bruin.
