Bugsy !

Bugsy is a extra-large, blue eyed, one year old deaf dog who is thought to be a Great Dane X Labrador. Bugsy has been in a fight for his life in a Chilliwack vet hospital. The rescue community has rallied around and helped pay the vet bill and Bugsy is now getting well. He was just minutes from death when he arrived at the clinic and with 24 hours a diagnosis was made and things are now under control again. He was immediately put on IV at the clinic and the vet has determined that Bugsy has an inflammation of the liver as well an infection in his blood. He has received the life saving meds that he needed and is now back up on his feet and feeling strong again.

Update: December

Bugsy has spent some time recovering from his ordeal in a loving foster home and is now ready for adoption into his "forever home".  If you can't adopt Bugsy, please consider sponsoring him by making a donation towards his medical expenses.

Update: January

Good news!  Bugsy is now being sponsored in loving memory of Wendy and Junior, two beloved family companions who are very missed by their guardians. Please consider adopting this fine animal. He'll thank you for the rest of his life!

FLASH!

Bugsy decided that his new family should live on Vancouver Island, that they should have other dogs and human children to play with.  We are pleased to announce that Bugsy's dream has come true!

Welcome to the island Bugsy and may your new life with Dave and Lida be filled with warm sunshine, days at the beach and love like you have never know.

Big Heart Rescue wishes to send out a special thank you to Heather, Bugsy's foster Mom extraordinaire!  Without Heather's dedication, commitment and desire to help this gentle giant he would still be waiting to understand what a full tummy means, that flashlights are fun for learning and a warm house is magical.

A new life now begins....
