Chicki !

Chicki was found as a stray in Bella Bella so not too much is know about her past.

We are guessing her age to be around one year and when she arrives into the care of Big Heart Rescue today she will head to the vets to be spayed, tattooed, microchipped, vaccinated, de-wormed and de-flead.

This cutie pie little girl weighs approximately 10 pounds and as you can tell by the picture is not much larger than a cat!

She is excellent on leash, is still working on her house training skills, gets along fine with cats and dogs and is a big snuggle muffin.

Chicki can she shy at first and once she understands that all her tomorrow's will be filled with love her confidence will soar.

Chicki's perfect match will be with a family who has someone home most of the day, a secure fence and who will take her to positive training/socialization classes

Update: 5 August

Chicki has now been spayed and is in her loving foster home.  Now that she has had a few days of security and love she is demonstrating she is a true cuddle bug.

Chicki wishes to be with her person most of the time and finds that a lap is the best place to spend hours cuddling.

Also, Chicki is very happy being the only dog and is a little shy of other dogs she meets.

Chicki has found her voice and she will bark for attention, so she will need a new family who will help her find her quiet voice and take her to socialization classes that will bring up her confidence.

Because we do not know Chick's past history she requires a home with older children or no children.

Update: August 7

Chicki loves to be with her people and as a result is suffering from separation anxiety.  Big Heart Rescue has now hired a trainer to help this darling little girl gain more confidence and to feel secure when left alone.

Update: August 14

Congratulations to Chicki and June who just knew that they were meant to be together, forever!
