Gander !

When Gander was found as a stray in a remote First Nations community, it was discovered that he had been badly injured.  We assume he was hit by a car and the impact broke his femoral head and cracked his hip socket.

This sweetheart has now under-gone extensive surgery and has had a femoral head resection completed, is in foster care in the Langley area and is beginning his medical rehabilitation which includes gentle stretching exercises and swimming to rebuild his rear leg.

He is approximately 2 years of age, vaccinated, microchipped, de-flead, de-wormed and neutered, weighs approximately 49 pounds and is thought to be a Newfie x Border Collie mix .. much like a "mini" Newfie!

Currently he is fostered with young children and cats and is a "bomb" proof youngster who adores everyone.

If you are home the majority of the time, are committed to his physical rehabilitation and have a securely fenced yard please drop Gail a note at spiritsmission@shaw.ca  to request an adoption application.
