Jasmine !

Hi my name is Jasmine or Jaz for short. The kind people at Big Heart Rescue have said its now time to find my very own family so they asked me to tell you a little bit about myself.

The problem is I am a puppy so I don't have too much to say but this is what I do know.  I was born in a remote community and I only lived outside of the house while the humans stayed inside.  Sometimes it got very cold, or sometimes I was hungry and thirsty and sometimes I just wanted a kind person to hold me and tell me I was a very good girl.

I am only 18 months of age but I had two litters of puppies in my short life so I don't really know what its like just to have fun and play!  I have been so very busy looking after so many babies and keeping them safe that I think its now my turn to learn all about what humans like in their best friend :)

My babies are all safe now and I have been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, de-wormed and de-flead. The surgery didn't feel very good but my loving Foster Mom who lives in a city called Vancouver said I did really well and recovered fast. The Dr. said I weigh about 50 pounds so I am what is called a medium size girl, not too big and not too small...just right.

In my Foster home I live with 3 other dogs who are lots of fun and I think its really neat that they let me share their toys, the couch and their very special Mom.

Lots of people have tried to guess who my Mom and Dad were but they are having a really hard time trying to figure it out.  I can't remember my Mom but I think I could be a Yellow Lab x Retriever x Terrier x Husky :)  Doesn't that sound like a great family background but one of my Auntie's just calls me a mystical magical mutt !!!

My house training is really good, I like walking with a harness and I know when I am adopted my new family will take me to training classes because I still like to jump on people when I get excited but I am learning that humans don't like that so much so I try and try and try really hard not to jump but sometimes I slip up and do it any way.

If you would like to adopt me I need someone home most of the day and a secure fence is important too.  I would like a family who adores me more than anything just like I adored my own children who deserve happiness as much as I do.  Please send Gail a note at  spiritsmission@shaw.ca  if you think that I could be your very new best friend and she will send you an adoption application to fill out and send back to her.

Lots of love and I hope to hear from you soon,

Jaz
