Jennie !
Wee
baby Jennie is named after her saviour, an amazing woman who lives and works in
a very rural First Nations community in Northern Manitoba .
Just over a week ago she found a five week old orphaned puppy crying on her doorstep late at night after the temperature had dipped to -30 below. She took the puppy in and has nursed it into health with puppy infant formula and lots of TLC.
With the support of Jennie and Jennie's sister, this once sickly and lethargic pup has turned into a chubby and sassy little survivor that has a strong will to live.
Big Heart Rescue was blessed to be asked to care for and find a loving home for baby Jennie. Our organization has made a promise to those who first loved her, that this wee one would be safe and that baby Jennie will find the perfect family to call her own.
If you are home the majority of the day, have a secure fenced yard, breed experience or have completed research on the Husky breed please contact spiritsmission@shaw.ca to request an application.
And
yes, puppies are so cute! But, puppies will grow into dogs. Also, puppies
require a tremendous amount of time and effort on your part.
Puppies need to be fed three or four times a day. They need to be house trained and will probably have "accidents" in your home.
Puppies may cry and keep you up at night. Puppies chew and they might just chew up your favourite chair. Puppies dig and they might just dig up your newly planted rose bush.
Puppies jump up and scratch you or others with their sharp claws.
Puppies nip and their sharp teeth hurt. Puppies need obedience training and they may still ignore you when you tell them "no".
Puppies need you home with them, so they can learn what love means!!
Update: January
Hurray! Jennie has gone to live with her loving new parents Dan and Michelle and will get to spend her days playing with two older brothers!
