Kailee !
Kailee
comes from Bella Bella where she was left to fend all on her own for a month
after her family moved out of town and did not take her with them.
She has recently arrived in the lower mainland and is in a wonderful foster home who is showing Kailee what life is like when you live inside a house, how good it feels meals come on a regular basis and that sharing toys is a good thing.
Because Kailee does not yet understand "city life" it will be mandatory that she attend positive training classes and that a member of her new family is home most of the day so that her training regarding sharing can continue. She will require a yard that has a secure fence to keep her safe from wondering.
This is what Kailee's foster Mom has to say about her:
Beautiful Kailee is a 45 lb. medium sized girl who is spayed, approximately 1.5 years of age and is thought to be a husky and lab cross. She has a smooth, soft, short black coat with cream markings and the most stunning caramel colored eyes. She's a finely boned girl, light on her feet. She has silky ears which she enjoys having rubbed.
She
loves toys and is playful, inviting people to play with her. She's not quite
sure how fetch works yet but she loves to chase toys thrown for her! She has not
been chewing inappropriate items, and has been clean inside.
She is an alert dog, sensitive to noises & sudden movements. She needs some time to adjust to new situations and people - she's cautious and hangs back a bit until she has checked things out. Once she feels comfortable, she likes to cuddle and welcomes snuggles and pets.
She walks quite well on leash on a front clip harness. She's not exactly heeling but she doesn't really pull either. With just a bit of training, she'll really shine!
Kailee has a keen interest in cats and squirrels so we are suggesting a cat free home for her and most likely she would do well with being an only child or having a brother as a best friend.
Update:
Sept. 3
Kailee has come so far now that she has spent a few weeks in a loving foster home!
She is happily playing with her fur sister and is learning that sharing is a good thing. She loves her toys and though she doesn't bring them back every time, she is learning!
Kailee, with her stunning good looks is a true head turner and she adores all the attention she gets from strangers, her foster family and children.
She is fully house trained and is attempting the commands of sit, down and stay...some times she is successful and some times not.
Her
leash training is very much in the beginning stages and she is trying so hard to
please her foster Mom by being attentive to her wishes.
This beautiful girl will thrive in a forever home where tons of love are provided and where she can go camping, hiking and to the beach.
Update: 8 October
Darling Kailee has found her new family!! Congratulations to Laura and David on your bouncing baby girl and we wish you many wonderful years of loving, laughing and smiling.
