Lady !
 

Lady is the beautiful young Mom of all the Maremma puppies and is now one year of age and will be spayed as soon as all the babies are weaned.

She is a shy, sweet girl who adores her foster family and is loving learning what it means to be an inside dog, always safe, warm and loved.

Lady is looking for a family who has done their research on the non-working Maremma breed or have breed experience, who have an adult member of the family home the majority of the time and who have a securely fenced yard.

Lady would benefit greatly by positive reinforcement training as this ensure a strong bond with her new adoptive family and wishes for nothing more than a kind hand to strong her soft fur.

A note from Lady's foster Mom

Lady is true to her name.  She is such a gentle girl.  She is realizing that being a house dog is wonderful, and loves snoozing with the other dogs.  She is GREAT with dogs of all sizes, from Chihuahuas to Rottweilers and always  has a tail wagging when the cats rub up against her.  She isn’t food aggressive at all, she takes treats ever so gently from our hands and the dogs all share the bones and toys.  She would benefit having another well behaved dog to play with and learn the ropes from, as I see her watching the other dogs and mimicking them.

She is getting used to all the noises that are typically in a home.  She is starting to believe and trust that all men aren’t bad, we are working on this everyday and she is coming along nicely.  She absolutely loves children, her tail is a wagging when she sees them and comes over for some love.  She thinks the bus stop is a great social gathering, with a lot of kids with soft hands.

She is a dream to bath, she just stands there, I almost think that she enjoys it.  She is also a dream when cutting her nails, she just lays there, never pulls her foot away, its like she’s asleep!!!

I can’t say enough good things about Lady, she is such a doll.

Update: 2 November

Beautiful Lady has now had her spay and has weaned her beautiful puppies!

The brave girl has decided its now time for her to find her own family where she will be loved and adored forever.

Lady has gained some weight and still needs to gain a little more as all the care taking for six puppies has left her a bit thin.  She is looking forward to positive reinforcement training classes with her new family so she can bond with them and be happy with all the new skills she has learned.
