Queenie !
Hi,
my name is Bee, well actually it's Queenie, but my
foster parents call me Bee or Queenie Bee.
I'm enjoying life here in my foster home with my two canine sisters and my feline brother.
I'm 11 months old and although I'm just a puppy my foster-mom says I'm amazingly well behaved and calm, and being a dog trainer, I suppose she would know.
I love all my plush toys and balls and take very well care of them - I haven't chewed up a single one! What I love most of all though are my smoked bones! I chew on them every day. When I first came to my foster-home, I was very careful to protect my bone, as I thought I would only get one. Turns out they kept bringing me more, so now I share my bones with my sisters and we chew them together. (I am in the centre in the photo with my sisters!)
These
are things my foster-mom proudly announces to anyone who will listen: I am very
affectionate and just love to be with people of any age - even babies. I don't
chew on anything, other than my toys and I never have. (Well I actually did
munch on a small sea shell. It was really salty.) I'm housebroken and always
'go' in the same area of the yard. I walk very nicely on leash and have acquired
skills such as: Sit, Down, Stand, Stay, Wait, Easy - which means I have to slow
down my pace, Touch (this makes my foster-mom hand out lots of treats), On your
mat, Give eye contact - this is a really cool thing: I give eye contact and then
I get what I want. How cool is that?! And much more.
I can do all these things everywhere except on the trail, where my nose and my curiosity seem lead me to mysterious places. Therefore I am always connected to a leash or long rope when we go to the woods and that's OK, I guess. It will likely have to stay that way, says my foster-mom. We often go to a large fenced area called a 'baseball diamond' and I love to run and play with my friends without my leash.
I hardly shed, which is apparently a good thing, and I'm easy to
brush and towel off if I get wet. I'm good with all dogs I've met and love to
play. However, if I'm not allowed to go and see, then I just wait on a loose
leash. I almost never bark; only if get really frustrated or if the other dogs
sound the alarm and I can't tell why. I love the car and spend time in it every
day while my foster-mom trains other dogs and goes shopping for my treats and
stuff. Lately I've been doing a lot of snowball chasing. So much fun. It's as
much fun as looking for mice in a field. I can spend a lot of time just walking
around smelling the sweet smells of the soil.
I suppose that's it. I can't wait to hear from my new forever home, so if you're reading this, please contact my wonderful rescuers and come meet me!
Love, Queenie-Bee.
