These puppies are the result of a back yard breeder who recently left the country. They are now five weeks of age and will be ready for adoption mid to late November. Our best guess is that they are 3/4 breed Maremma and 1/4 breed Great Pyrenees. There are 2 males and 4 females.
These puppies will grow to be large to extra large in size, weighing anywhere from 55 pounds to 100 pounds. Breed research is a must for anyone applying to adopt one of these puppies and as they come from non-working stock we will only be adopting to families who wish for a companion dog.
Please
note that Big Heart Rescue policies stipulate that young dogs/puppies or those
with special needs require someone home the vast majority of the time and
require a secure, fully fenced yard.
If you are unable to meet these two basic requirements then your application cannot be approved but if you wish, the application can be held for a mature dog that may be a perfect match.
In addition, agreement must be made that the puppy will be taken to a positive reinforcement puppy training/socialization class and that positive reinforcement basic obedience training will also be part of the future for this puppy.

These delightful rolly polly bowls of jelly are now six weeks of age and will be taken to the vet this week for their check-up. They will be ready to join their new families approximately mid November.
They have been de-wormed and are quickly gaining weight, with an average of 7 pounds and currently the entire family is on a RAW diet and it is the preference that RAW be continued after adoption. If you require more information on the RAW diet we will be happy to assist you with this.
These puppies are Maremma's and research into the Maremma breed (non-working) and positive reinforcement training is mandatory prior to applying for any of these darling fur babies.
Each puppy (we will adopt in pairs if you are BRAVE enough!) is socialized with their litter mates, other dogs in the house, with older children and of course with their stunning one year old mom whose name is Lady (Lady is also up for adoption).
These are healthy, happy and well adjusted puppies who are stunning both in looks and in personalities.
